Cluster Analysis of ASM, FF, and X-men runs. Part 1
In Previous
post, I have discussed the methods I use based on detecting bias between
Insiders (Investors) and Outsiders (non-investor-collector). As we have
journeyed through 6 runs it is apparent that a Bias exists between these
groups, it has to! Investment dollars are the currency in this universe.
Outsiders are biased to collecting all issues in a run etc. Investors will be
focused on the money side and will not be focused as Fans.
I developed
the B Score as a beginning measure into a run. It will not be the final word
but a guide. As with all data analysis it is a guide only vs. being a
commandment! So in the cluster analysis I combine all issues in multiple
runs and judge within the large group. In case the ASM, FF, and X-men issues
were grouped and analyzed. Bright Green are those issues with the highest
Insider Bias, Dark Green has some Insider Bias, Rose issues have some Outsider
Bias while the Bright Red are those issues that have the highest Outsider Bias.

Analysis of
the data presented in Table 1 shows the predicted Early Late Bias going from
the Insiders to Outsiders (Bright Green to Bright Red). But the colors
certainly highlight the key issues in this run to focus on. The first 29 issues
demand strong focus with key issues being highlighted there. Remember this is
just the beginning and issues in red may in fact be viable but only at grades
of 9.4 and above. The B Score is an average across the data so some issues will
be Strong at 9.4 but very weak at 8 and 6 grades. The average would be a red
issue! ASm certainly has “dead zones” in the 50s to mid 70s and again within
the early 100s to near the end.
